What is Esports?

Esports (short for electronic sports) is competitive video games. Like traditional sports, Esports involve rulesets, leagues, and tournaments. There are millions of different video games, each with its own rules and strategies, but esports tends to revolve around a select few highly competitive games. Players may compete individually or as a team.
