I started my educational career at Lone Grove. I started as a substitute in the Primary and Intermediate buildings. After subbing for 2 years, I was asked to take a paraprofessional position at the Primary building and found I loved working with special needs students. I then moved to Ada and began working at Byng Schools during the 2013-14 school year as a paraprofessional at the Junior High. I began teaching special education in 2014 and have been here ever since. I have taught at the Elementary building for one semester and will miss that position. I enjoy working at Byng and working with my students. Beginning with the 2017-18 school year I will be at Byng High School Room 2. I teach students in 10 through 12 grade special educaiton. Starting with the school year 2019-20 I will be teaching students 7 through 12 grades in special educaiton. I also will be teaching an Administrative Legal Assistant class at PTC starting in August 2019 on two evenings a week for the first semester.
I have many other work experiences. I have worked in the legal field, insurance field, and human resources. I have worked for the Supreme Court of Idaho, a worker compensation attorney, and was the human resources rep for a nursing home in Kansas. My favorite position of all time, is teaching.
I am married to a wonderful man that works for Ada Coca Cola and we have been married a long time. I have four children of my own, three step children, we are guardians of our nephew, and we have one foster daughter. We were blessed to have been able to have an exchange student from Vietnam this past school year. I have six grandaughters and four grandsons and another granddaughter is due October 2019. We just recenlty bought a home in Byng, not too far from the High School. I love living in the Byng area.
I love to read new books and old ones too. I like to crochet and cross-stich. My kids keep me pretty business, my daughter is on the Oklahoma Trotters at Byng and she is fairly busy and keeps me hopping. I like to go to the movies with my family. I love relaxing at home with my family most of the time. I really enjoy the lake and taking cruises to different locations.
